What is Prayer?

Prayer is simply speaking to God. Amazingly, our creator invites us to share our concerns with him, as our loving father. We pray because we trust our heavenly father, and rely on his transforming power.

Prayer Meetings

We pray together as part of our Sunday services and in our mid-week home groups. In addition there are several specific opportunites to join in praying together:

Prayer Notes: Every month a booklet is available containing up to date news of our mission partners around the UK and the world as well as more local needs to enable each of us to pray privately.

Sunday Prayer: Every Sunday morning we meet to pray at 10am, before the weekly service.

Missionary Prayer Meeting: 8pm on the last Friday of each month. A meeting to pray specifically for Christian workers around the world. See the diary for venues.

A Prayer Jesus Taught

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

Matthew 6:9-13 (NIVUK)
